Congress Language
The official languages of ARCHILD are English and Turkish.

 

Translation
Simultaneous translation (Turkish and English) will be provided throughout the congress.

 

Coffee Breaks and Lunches
Refreshments will be provided during mid-morning and mid-afternoon breaks.

 

Accommodation

The ARCHILD Congress Office has already booked a number of hotel rooms for congress participants. Several pleasant hotels and guest houses are available upon demand. Due to the limited number of rooms early reservation is advised.

Passport and Visa Requirements

A valid passport is sufficient to enter Turkey from most countries (EU, USA, Canada, Australia, etc) whereas a VISA is required for citizens from other countries. For any further information, please contact your nearest Turkish Embassy. List of countries requiring a visa, and application instructions are provided. Most visitor visas can be obtained for a fee on arrival at the airport, but checking is advice before departure. Please check with your travel agent whether you require an entry visa to Turkey.

Electrical Power
The electrical power supply in Turkey is 220/50hz volts.


Currency and Banking
Turkish currency is Turkish Lira (TL). You can exchange currency upon your arrival at any airport, or at banks within Ankara. Most banks are open during business hours, 9 a.m. until 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. A few banks may also be open on Saturday morning. Automatic Teller Machines (ATMs) are abundant throughout the city and may accept some international bankcards to dispense cash. Check with your financial institution to discuss your access to banking in Turkey. Most major credit cards are accepted at businesses, restaurants, and hotels, including Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Diners Club.

Turkey is 2 hours ahead of Greenwich Mean Time (GMT +2).

Letter of Invitation
Official invitations may be obtained to facilitate participants attempting to acquire supporting funds, visas or permissions to attend the congress. You will create letter of invitation from ARCHILD official web site.

 

Badge Policy
All participants will be required to wear their badge during the whole Congress. Those without badges will not be allowed to name tags attend the sessions or social events. Separate badges will be provided for all registered accompanying persons and will be required for to access the Opening Reception, Coffee Breaks.

 

Liability
The ARCHILD Congress Office cannot be held responsible for any personal injury, loss, damage, accident to private property or additional expenses incurred as a result of delays or changes in air, rail, sea, road or other services, strikes, sickness, weather or any other cause. Participants are, accordingly, advised to take out their own insurance.

 

Health
Insurance: if you reside outside Turkey, please note that you are responsible for your own health insurance policy for the duration of your stay in Turkey before your arrival. We cannot guarantee that free health care will be provided for non-Turkish residents traveling in Turkey. Consult with your travel agent regarding available health insurance for travelling to Turkey. ARCHILD does not endorse nor assume responsibility for any companies that offer international health coverage. Participants are advised to take out their own personal travel and health insurance for their trip.
