Takeshi Inaba

Takeshi Inaba is an architect and retired professor of architecture, have work experiences both in Japan and United States.  He has written widely about design studio in architecture and built environment education in schools for educators. 
He is always thinking of better ways to help people recognize themselves as
potential designers of built environment.
He is currently serving as a Japanese delegate of UIA Architecture and Children Working Program.

 

 

 

 

Ewa Struzynska

EWA

 

Ewa Struzynska is an architect and she works actively as the Codirector of the International Union of Architects (UIA) Work Programme "Architecture & children", and at the International Council of French Architects (CIAF). She is also the Educational and Cultural Actions Commission Director of UNSFA (Union Nationale des Syndicats Français des Architectes), and a former active member of the Art Commission of the Ecole Alsacienne in Paris (a primary and secondary pilot program). Her job includes promoting architecture education, contributing to the development of database and teaching material, organising seminars, events and workshops and participating in conferences and colloquiums. She is launching in 2010 a professionnal practice education in Paris "Mediator of architecture to young publics" with the GEPA (Groupe pour l'Education Permanente des Architectes).

 

She wrote articles in magazines and works with children and teachers on annual programs in schools.
Ewa Struzynska has also a private practice in Paris, France, since 1981. She graduated in architecture from Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Beaux Arts in Paris.

 

 

Pihla Meri-Tuuli Meskanen

Pihla Meri-Tuuli Meskanen is an architect and a pedagogue. She has been active with a wide range of activities in the field of architecture education since 1993. Meskanen is one of the founding members of Arkki, School of Architecture for Children and Youth in Finland. She has been the director of the School since 1996. Meskanen is one of the founders and chairman (2008-2009) of Playce, international organization on architecture education. She is also since 1996 a partner in Architects Meskanen & Pursiainen, an architectural office specialized in school and day care center design.

Meskanen has participated in the creation of architectural curriculums in the Ministry of Education and in many projects related to Finnish Architectural Policy. She has written a book for children called "the Small Book of Huts" and participated in the writing of two other books about architecture education published by the Finnish Association of Architects. She has arranged numerous international architecture education workshops and conferences in Finland and lectured about the subject in numerous countries around the world.

For her work in the field of architecture education she has received the Pietilä prize in 2004 by the Building Information Foundation and the Child Culture Award from the Finnish Government in 2005.

 

 


CELAL ABDİ GÜZER

1960 yılında Ankara'da doğan C. Abdi GÜZER Mimarlık eğitimini 1982 yılında Orta Doğu Teknik Üniversitesi Mimarlık Bölümü'nde tamamladı. Bir süre İngiliz Hükümeti bursu ile Newcastle upon Tyne Üniversitesi'nde "Mimarlıkta Eleştiri" üzerine çalışmalar yapan Güzer aynı konuda ODTÜ'den doktora derecesini aldı. Doç. Dr. Abdi Güzer halen ODTÜ Mimarlık Bölümü'nde mimarlık eleştirisi üzerine ders vermekte ve 4. Sınıf tasarım stüdyosu yöneticiliği yapmaktadır.ODTÜ Mimarlık Bölüm Başkan Yardımcılığı, Bina Bilgisi Ana Bilim Dalı Başkanlığı, Dekan Yardımcılığı, ve Mimarlar Derneği 1927 Genel Sekreterliği görevlerinde de bulunmuş olan Güzer halen Mimarlar Derneği 1927 Başkanı'dır.

Mimari proje yarışmalarında çeşitli jüri üyeliklerinin yanısıra, üçü birincilik olmak üzere çok sayıda ödül ve mansiyon kazanan Güzer'in çok sayıda uygulanmış projesi bulunmaktadır. Bunların arasında tasarımını ve kurucu başkanlığını yaptığı MATPUM yapısı 2008 yılında son beş yılın yapıları arasında yapılan değerlendirmede YEM tasarım ödülünü kazanmıtır. Güzer'in araştırma konuları arasında Mimarlık Eleştirisi'nin yanısıra Yakın Dönem Mimarlık Kavram ve Uygulamaları, Konut ve Toplu Konut Yapıları, Kentsel Tasarım ve Kentsel Yenileme Projeleri, Yapılarda Çevre Duyarlılığı ve Sürdürülebilirlik gibi konular yer almaktadır.

Projelerinin çoğunu ODTÜ Dönersermaye İşletmesi aracılığı ile gerçekleştiren Güzer, mimarlık ve tasarımla ilgili araştırma ortamı oluşturmayı ve proje üretimini amaçlayan CAG Mimarlık Atölyesi'nin kurucusudur.

 

 

Ercan AĞIRBAŞ

Ercan Ağırbaş, born in 1966 studied at the "Technische Universität Berlin" Technical University, the "Politecnico di Milano" Technical University and the "Eidgenössische Technische Hochschule Zürich" Federal Polytechnic School. He obtained his architectural degree in 1993 at the ETH Zurich. In 2008 the Chamber of Architects North Rhine-Westphalia appoint him to the list of urban planners. Since 2009 he is expert for energy, sound- and heat insulation.
He was Head-Master of the Project and Diploma Unit at the Fachhochschule Bochum in 1995-1997, teaching staff at the RWTH Aachen, GSG Wuppertal, Fachhochschule Düsseldorf an the Bahçeşehir University in 1998-2007. Since 2005 he is Visiting professor at the PBSA Peter Behrens School of Architecture in Düsseldorf.
With Eckehard Wienstroer he is currently working in Neuss (Germany) on several private and public projects in France, Saudi Arabia, Switzerland, Turkey and Germany.
